Thanks Fraser, very kind of you. And a bundle of thanks to your son for stepping up to serve.
I will indeed look at giving some exposure to the Uof A veterans outreach program. Myself and an Army veteran pal met with them four years ago when they were setting up their transition program for academics, allowing for newly returning veterans to take classes with all vets. Very innovative and caring. Sure wished their was something like when I returned to the University after Vietnam. I was pretty dazed and could not concentrate and they now help with all of those obstacles to learning. I may have even found dates a little quicker!

Mike:
Just wanted to say hgow much I enjoy your blog site. Jusy straight hard hitting no B.S. support for the vets. Keep it going.
I am an Army dad. My son is getting out of the Army in May/June. He has served for 8 years. 3rd Infantry Div/3rd Brigade 2/69th on the last assignment. He will be going to school at U of A or ASU or Auburn. (lots of great options) God Bless the GI Bill. He has done four combat tours. One on the Korean Border and three in Iraq.
I have visited the U of A Vets Center at the Student Union Building. I needed to check out the program at the request of my son. They run a great program there. You should do a story about the Center, first class operation.
Just wanted to let you know.
