Since we have seen the failure of spring training in Tucson, have those previously involved with baseball, been helpful in bringing soccer to Tucson? After all it is a benefit to the entire community.

Yes, I am talking about city officials. Thank you Mr. Brewer for all your efforts in making this happen. My hope is that after the success of these games, that everyone including city officials start pursing MLS preseason training here in Tucson. We have the fan base here.

Well not all together true. Myself and the Coach at Grand Canyon University ,Petar Draskin, did in fact pursue the MLS for Tucson. We have been at this for about 5 years. If you mean and City officials, then you are correct. Prior to now there was no venue that would be suitable for MLS. The loss of Spring Training baseball created that opportunity. That aspect was indeed thrown in our lap. The opportunity was exploited to the benefit of all.

While I appreaciate all that some of what certain people and groups did to make this happen, make no mistake. The MLS threw this in our lap. We did not have these people actively going out an pursuing things like this for Tucson. I thank them for not standing in the way.
